Some people might try to tell me that Dole Whip is overrated. To them, I say "No." For those of you unfamiliar with this tropical magic, Dole Whip is dairy-free pineapple soft serve found at Disneyland, Disney World, the Dole plantation in Hawaii, and a few other places. You can also have it as a float made with pineapple juice. During our trip to Florida in June, we visited the self-serve Dole Whip station at the Polynesian Resort, and I piled mine up so high, I thought someone was going to come and stop me. Honestly that was easily one of my favorite parts of the whole trip (more on that vacation soon)! You can kind of tell I have a tear in my eye because we were all laughing so hard at how much I got that I was crying.

I thought it would be fun to put together a Dole Whip inspired outfit, complete with plenty of pineapple and yellow, which is a color I normally don't wear, but for The Whip I'd gladly make an exception.

I had half convinced myself to go as Dole Whip for Halloween just so I could buy that dress, but now they're out of my size! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for it to possibly be restocked though, and I do already have the headband. A few other nifty Dole Whip & pineapple themed things I like that weren't included in the outfit: polymer clay necklace pendant, pineapple necklace by I Love Crafty, and this ridiculously cute Dole Whip float illustration by Lindsay.

As I mentioned in my last post, I just discovered that a frozen yogurt place very close to where I live has Dole Whip, and you should've seen me when I found it! I've only been back for more once, but only because the machine was sadly on the fritz for a few days. So, have you tried Dole Whip?
Dole whip sounds amazing. I am off to Tokyo Disney next year, I hope they have it there so I can feast on vegan pineapple yum yums.
ReplyDeleteI have never had Dole Whip, but I know I would just love it. Gosh that looks good. I can see why you are obsessed, haha.
ReplyDeleteThis post really speaks to me, haha.
ReplyDelete(I can't wait to hear more about your Florida trip! I'm dying here.)
So cute!
ReplyDeleteA dole whip costume would be amazing! You could craft some kind of cute little swirl hat too.
ReplyDeleteI've never had or heard of Dole Whip before, but it looks amazing! I'll remember to check my local frozen yougurt shops for it, thanks!

LOVE Dole Whip! There was a cart at a local festival last year that served it. I'm obsessed.

My goodness, you did pile the soft serve high haha! But hey, you may as well if it's only found in certain places.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I have never tried Dole Whip, but I am quite intrigued by it now. It certainly looks delicious
