A Sweet and Lovely Surprise

I'm sure you already know about Kate Gabrielle; her blog Scathingly Brilliant is a pastel paradise full of her adorable outfits, her cute kitties, her amazing art, and lots of other wonderful things. Kate is a peach in so many ways, and it's no surprise that she is such a sweetheart! I've wanted to order something from her Sweet and Lovely shop since she first opened it. A while back, she ran a promotion offering a discount and a postcard from her vacation to Disney World. Isn't that such a neat idea? I ordered one of her ice cream brooches, and waited excitedly. She sent the cutest postcard which she illustrated herself. But then, when I received my order, I was shocked to see that it wasn't a little brooch-sized package, but a big box!

Oh my gosh, was I ever shocked once I opened the box! She sent my brooch, along with another ice cream brooch in pink, a Dwight Schrute pin, a t-rex necklace, Cinderella pin, super cute unicorn candy, a lovely Cinderella card, and a canvas portrait she painted of me!!! Are you kidding me!? Holy moley! I told you she was a peach! Of course I took a gazillion pictures of everything, and texted Jose about it in all caps. I am continually astounded by the kindness of my blogger friends. I am still thinking up how to even begin repaying Kate for her generosity. That girl deserves the moon!

I loooove the portrait so much! I especially love the details she included, like the ice cream brooch and my Giant Dwarf starlette crown. It's definitely a piece of art that I will treasure forever.
