August Funfair

I've been thinking about doing a regular link roundup for such a long time, so I asked Twitter, and it seems that pretty much everyone likes the idea! I'll be taking a cue from Gala and making what I'm calling "Funfair" a once-a-month feature, sharing my tippy-top favorites. Well, let's get started!

Maybe you somehow haven't heard about the Crown & Glory / Rock N Roll Bride collaboration: a sparkly, lacy, animal ear filled headpiece collection. Hard to pick a favorite, but I fancy the pastel Rachel cat ears.

Make your own mixed media makeup bag with this awesome DIY by Jenny & Aaron. Aren't the colors so pretty? Also, this 10 facts about Aaron was a great read about the other half of Everyday is a Holiday.

I loved this tour of Twinkie Chan's craft room, plus there's a really neat interview with her as well.

Kate took part in Gishwishes, a worldwide annual scavenger hunt, and she shared some of her photos. They all had me laughing out loud, and now I so want to join the hunt next year!

I recently came across Rosa Clementine's blog, and her artwork is so cute! I especially loved her illustration of a girl with ice cream, and I was so tickled when Rosa let me know that I was the inspiration for it! You can buy the print here.

I wish I could've been at the She and Reverie Camp Versailles Launch Party! Flower crowns, cupcakes, and one of the loveliest Spring & Summer collections ever? I'm going to go with yes.

I've been a fan of Mary Van Note for a long time, and her latest video, Trash 'n' Stache: Exes, where Mary bleaches her mustache while talking about old boyfriends, made me laugh so hard! I then went on to stalk her Youtube channel, which I highly recommend.

This video tutorial on making star clips inspired by Rodarte is from last year but it's new to me! I really want to try my hand at making one of those clips; I can always use more fancy headwear!

Nicolette Mason's tour of Tarina Tarantino's Sparkle Factory studio is full of so many pretty things I kind of want to jump inside the pictures, Mary Poppins style.

I live for Katie's carnival photos.

KSNY x Darcel has been all over the internet, but this donut bangle DIY is something I can actually afford.

The McFly doesn't sound like my ideal drink, but I'm willing to try it since it's named after a character from one of my all-time favorite movies, plus you light it on fire!

The photos in this post are of goodies from Jose's cousin's carnival themed wedding last month. I'm always up for a candy buffet and a photo booth! So how did I do for my first link roundup? Did you enjoy it? What links did you love this month?

  2. This was a fantastic roundup!

I really loved seeing Tarina Tarintino and Twinkie Chan's work spaces! There's a great magazine called Where Woman Create that has the most beautiful spreads on work spaces (and for $15 an issue it damn well better be). I think it's just so interesting how different people are and the sometimes weird/ordinary things just inspire the hell out of them!

Also, if I have ever have a son there's a 40% chances I'll name him McFly. Sad but true!
