A Day At Disneyland

During our trip to Los Angeles for The Blogcademy, we treated ourselves to a day at Disneyland. When we got there, we had to park on the top level of the parking structure, which I've never had to do before, so we were a bit worried about the crowd. Unsurprisingly, spring break isn't the greatest time to visit, but it wasn't all that bad and we still got to do pretty much everything we wanted to do. I've taken so many pictures at Disneyland, I'm always trying to find new things to capture. It was a challenge since I have my favorite spots, but here are a few shots we took throughout the day.

As soon as we walked through the gates, we headed straight to Adventureland for some delicious Dole Whip. Breakfast of champions, right? We actually ended up going back for more later in the day, because c'mon, it's Dole Whip! When is the next time we'll be able to get more? I don't like to think about it.

Later in the day, we got to meet up with Gala, Kat, and Shauna for a little while, as they were in the park shooting with the Made U Look girls.

I already wish we could go back! I miss having an annual pass so much! Boy, was I spoiled. Then again, when I had one they weren't five hundred dollars. Yikes!

Do you have any favorite things to do at Disneyland? Favorite places to eat?

    1. Thank you! It's pretty easy to take good photos when the subject is so easy on the eyes!

  2. This makes me miss Disney World so much! And I LOVE the dole whip!! I had it for the first time on my trip last month and I ended up eating it like five times in one day :) Also weirdest question ever, but do you have wind on the west coast!? Your hair always looks so perfect in outdoor shots!! Mine blows all over the place as soon as I step outside the door lol. I'm tempted to start using double-sided tape to keep my bangs down!

    1. I found out Dole Whip is served in a few frozen yogurt places in southern CA so I need to scope those out next time I'm down! As for wind, it really depends... in Anaheim where Disneyland is, usually there's not much wind, but where I live it's windy as HECK all the time because we're close to the ocean, so my hair is in my face pretty much 24/7 and I end up with crazy bangs and hair in almost every photo I take, so any picture not like that is a miracle. I like the double-sided tape idea, haha! You could totally market that to bloggers.

  3. I have no idea what dole whip is but it sounds pretty awesome.

I've only ever been to Walt Disney World but it was pretty much my favourite place in the world! Pirates of the Caribbean was the best. I think we went on it 8 times in total haha!

    1. Dole whip is a pineapple soft serve dessert, and it is heeeavenly. But it's only served in a very select few places in the world.

I've been to Disney World once and I liked it but I'm pretty partial to Disneyland. I used to work on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride as my very first job, hehe. It's a great ride!

  6. You lucky thing! I wish I lived closer to a Disneyland. The minute I step out those gates I wish I was back inside. I love your outfit by the way. You look beautiful.

  7. I love the way you framed your shots to all have the same color scheme and feel. I love Disneyland and used to go there all the time! I had a season pass as well and would hang out there in my high school years instead of the mall or parties. I got to work there one summer and my sister still works there. She did a 7 month contract at Paris Disneyland (I visited!) and now she's doing a 13 month contract at Tokyo Disneyland. So, needless to say, Disneyland is very important to me, haha. Favorite spot? Hard to say but I do have many fond memories of The Jungle Cruse and the Haunted Mansion.

  8. We were always such fans of getting ice cream at Gibson Girls. The rainbow sherbet always hit the spot on sunny California days. And growing up I could never leave the park until I got a Mickey Mouse shaped pretzel. After moving to Portland I still get homesick for Disneyland. Luckily my father-in-law works for Disney so we get to go every time we're back in town. But I still miss getting off work and heading straight to the park for a few hours.

  9. Oh I have always wanted to visit Disneyland! I went to Disney World as a child (which is pretty amazing), but there's a charm to Disneyland that I think is missing from the other. Maybe it's the 50s (?) design, the nostalgia factor? Anyways, it looks like so much fun. That Dole Whip looks so good too.

  10. Yay, Disneyland! Phillip and I are actually going at the end of this month to celebrate our 1 year dating anniversary and him being done with classes and I'm sooo looking forward to it! You got some great pictures! I'm always afraid to take my nice camera but maybe I will this time! Did you guys take it on the rides with you?

And I'll make it a point to try the Dole Whip :)

  11. Oh Dole Whip, my one true love! A couple of days ago I stumbled across a Disneyland behind-the-scenes TV special on some weird travel channel and it was disappointing because they mostly talked about California Adventure. LAAAAAME. Okay, Tower of Terror is legitimately awesome but I'm less enthused by the rest of it. Not enough 1960s day-glo paint and old-fashioned animatronics for my taste.

  12. I've never been to Disneyland :( The one which is close to me is one in Paris. When I only go to Paris, I want to visit Disneyland. It's kind of sad that my parents have never took me when I was a child there... But I can do this as an adult right :).
It seems like such amazing place yay! And you and your pink dress, yay!

  19. What I wouldn't give to be able to take my boys there, but the prices are just ridiculous!! Last time I went was when I was about 5, so I'm pretty sure a lot has changed since, and Dole whip...sounds so good!
