Double Ice Cream At Renegade

You've seen how Twinkie Chan and I spent our time together at Renegade Craft Fair San Francisco, now here's a bit more about the rest of the day. I think this is our fourth year going to the summer fair, and it turned out to be a really good one. It was a little empty when we got to Fort Mason on Saturday afternoon, but there was some sort of national sailing race going on so I think that may have discouraged some people from attending. Sunday was much busier, and we spent almost the whole day wandering around and visiting booths (when we weren't busy taking pictures).

The decorations were so pretty! There were lots of pastels, shimmery tassel garlands, balloons, and a very pretty wall decked out in streamers, tinsel, and flowers. We had to stop by the Magnolia photo booth, and the resulting photos made me laugh because we obviously weren't ready in the second frame! That thing goes pretty quickly! Of course we spent a lot of time at the Twinkie Chan booth, which had a carnival theme this year. I am always amazed by Lady Twinkie's booth designs, she puts so much thought and work into them and they're always my favorite! She was selling all sorts of carnival themed items like corn dog and cotton candy pen cozies, goldfish in bags, and the most adorable little snow cone hats.

There were a lot of things I wanted to buy, but I didn't want to go too crazy so I only got two things for myself. Well, I'm going to say three, because Jose bought three pins from Quiet Tiger and I think I'm going to be borrowing that "hello" pin because I love it so much! The super cool kitty pin is by Kevin Chan.

I kept eyeing the amazing clay miniature food charms by Inedible Jewelry every time I passed their booth, and I finally went over to take a closer look. It was so hard to choose which charm I wanted because there was everything from cupcakes and rainbow cakes to sushi and pizza, but in the end, I went with the classic vanilla ice cream cone since I thought I could wear it with anything and it would look cute. Speaking of ice cream, I had another dilemma when I had to choose between a Twinkie Chan ice cream pillow or ice cream scarf. I think I chose wisely. I still want one of those pillows though! I'd have to keep it out of kitty's reach. I love my new ice cream scarf so much! I'm going to be wearing the heck out of it once the weather gets cooler.

I had such a great time at Renegade and I'm so happy with my purchases, though there were a few other things I would've liked to buy. Did you attend any of the Renegade Craft Fairs this year? Snag any goodies?
