Sparkling Birthday

As it turns out, I have not in fact dropped off the face of the planet! Somehow my summer vacation turned out to be overstuffed with actual things to do and places to go, so I ended up being too busy to spend much time on the computer. Sadly, vacation came to an end yesterday, so here I am again, playing catch-up. Until I get back into the swing of things, here are a few photos from my birthday! It was a pretty mellow day as usual, and this time it included good company, a cake from the Madonna Inn, spiked butterbeer, and finally my very own Instax camera! I've only taken two photos so far because I'm being picky about my film, but I love it!

I always try to get a good sparkler picture on my birthday but I've yet to take a great one. I think it's because the sparklers sold here aren't the cool old-fashioned metal ones. I need to find some of those for next year!
